Beginning in 1998 with just a handful of vendors and a little bit of entertainment, the first market in the valley got its start in tiny Minturn. These days, the Minturn Market has grown to feature 110 varying vendors per week, two live music stages, children’s activities, and ambiance that cannot be beat.
For thirteen consecutive weeks, The Minturn Market features a varied assortment of items from farm-fresh and organic produce to great lunch and breakfast items to gourmet foods and gifts, clothing, jewelry, handmade crafts, items for the home, fine art and more.
In the summer of 2008, the Minturn Market will be evolving to feature five “focus” markets where 30 of the 110 vendors will be specific to juried categories like fine art, outdoor gear and adventures, pet focused products and regional wine & cheese. Over the course of the summer, the Minturn Market brings over 45,000 people to town to see, taste and enjoy a great variety of items in the clear mountain air.
The Summer Minturn Market runs for thirteen Saturdays in a row starting June 14th running through Sept. 6th and opens again for two Saturdays in the month of December to give people a chance to pick up some truly unique holiday gifts. The Minturn Winter Market features over 60 vendors each week and is held outdoors in the snowy downtown area. The Minturn Winter Market includes winter time entertainment like reindeer, carolers, Santa, and more! Additionally, shoppers can’t help but feel warm and fuzzy as they gather around our multiple crackling fire pits and immerse themselves in the genuine charm and culture of Historic Downtown Minturn.
